Rally and March - Justice for Mulrunji

Stop black deaths in Custody
Tues Oct 10 2006
March to Qld. State Parliament.

These photos are all outside Parliament House. There was a rally in Queens park with speakers then a short march up George St. Peter Beattie came out to speak to the crowd. I couldn't get a photo of him because he was swamped by media and nobody could see him. He waffled a few words about due process and then invited a delegation inside Parliament House to talk. The invitation was declined and the mob marched to Musgrave Park for lunch.

JT - have a read of the Local members speech on this issue today, will be in tomorrows Hansard proof. It started off reasonably Ok but then got a bit judgemental - anyway somebody gotta read your blog and make a comment.

    Thanx ken.

which local member, have you a link?

I am not promoting this blog for discussion, I just think it is polite to open comments as I drop in on other blogs so often. A bit of an experiment.

I will be promoting this one as soon as we move to Palm Island - before christmas http://paradigmoz.wordpress.com/
comments are open now but I am not taking it seriously yet. next year
